New or Visiting New Day?

Many people comfort and solace within the sacred space of a church building. It is a place where we may come together to worship, seek guidance, and find fellowship with one another. Yet, for so many in the LGBTQ community, churches have become a place of trauma. Thus, I believe that as faithful followers of Christ, we are called to embrace a greater purpose, one that extends far beyond the physical walls of a building.

As a Church Beyond the Walls, we envision our community being transformed through our active participation and engagement in the world around us. Our mission is not confined to a space or a time but reaches out to those who are hurting, marginalized, and in need of love and compassion.

Building and serving the community is not an optional task for us as Christians; it is our divine calling. It is an opportunity for us to embody the teachings of Jesus, to be his hands and feet in a broken world. It is through acts of kindness, generosity, and service that we demonstrate the transformative power of God's love. Whether it is volunteering at soup kitchens, mentoring youth who have been sexually abused, or reaching out to our neighbors in times of crisis, we seek to be a tangible expression of God's love in the world.
